Archery : Nel & Taljaard clinch Gold at Sakka Shoot

  • Very windy & cold conditions did not deter the archers from shooting their best at this, the first Sakka Shoot.ARCHERY  Nel & Taljaard Clinch Gold at Sakka Shoot
  • A total of 25 archers ranging from Beginners to Master Men participated in the competition.
  • Ilana Malan, who will represent Namibia at the World Cup (Stage 3) in Antalya, Turkey from 11th -19th June 2016, secured a close second place behind Taljaard. This was Malan’s last preparation event before leaving for Turkey.

Other news: 

Xander Reddig and Quintin Kruger successfully completed the Federation of African Archery Level 1 coaching course that was held in Windhoek from 22nd -26nd May 2016. Reddig is the youngest successful candidate that has completed this course.

Iona Bartosz, from the Zimbabwe Archery Association, also completed the course and is the first Level 1 coach in Zimbabwe.

NASP:

On the 21st of May a Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) course was successfully completed in Luderitz with 5 participants (Bright Star Montessori School). Iona Bartosz (ZIM) also passed her examination (BAI) on the same day in Windhoek.

NASP will also be represented for the first time at the Private Schools Weekend being held from 1-4 June 2016 in Keetmanshoop.
