Namibia to host Continental & Olympic Qualifying Archery Championship

NAMIBIA TO HOST CONTINENTAL AND OLYMPIC QUALIFYING ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP
The Championship will be held 28 - 31 January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia. This event will also include the Continental Qualifying Tournament for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, as well as the World Games in Wroclaw, Poland in 2017.

More than 50 elite archers from the following countries are expected to compete in Windhoek: Benin, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe. The championship is open for both Recurve and Compound archers noting that only archers in the Recurve discipline can qualify for participation in the Olympic Games while only Compound archers can qualify for the World Games 2017.

Registration for this prestigious event is already open and can be done online at http://register.worldarchery.org. Registration closes on 15 November 2015.
