African Regional Field Archery Championships 2015

The event, which was hosted by the Arrow Rest Archery Club, was an official International Field Archery Association (IFAA) sanctioned tournament with scores being recognized for international rankings. A total of 54 archers from 10 different field archery disciplines competed for 3 days under varying weather conditions. 

Namibia’s lone competitor this year was Bea Viviers of Windhoek. Viviers competed in the Adult Female Freestyle Unlimited (AFFU) category, with 6 other archers from South Africa taking part. Viviers ended day 1 in 3rd place, but continued to shoot even better and inched her way into 2nd place at the end of day 2. At the close of the tournament on day 3, Viviers finished strong and secured a 2nd Place finish for the Championship with a total score of 1563 (Field Round 503; Hunter Round 518; Animal Round 542).
