Our Namibian Archers to compete in Egypt

The prestigious event will also include the 2
nd African Open International Tournament. Namibia’s team will be headed by AAN president Frank Bockmühl.

The AAN will send some of its most promising archers, all of whom have qualified for the tournament through their respective rankings. Among them is Xander Reddig of Tsumeb who became the first Namibian archer to have ever competed at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which took place in China last month. Although Reddig didn’t manage to get past the first knock-out phase in China, he gained invaluable experience that will benefit him now and in the years to come. Reddig will be the only Namibian to battle it out in the Re-curve division.

The other three team members, Beanta Viviers, Liezl Schoeman and Elisabeth Taljaard, will compete in the Women’s Compound division.
