BIGGEST HARVEST OF MEDALS FOR NAMIBIANS

Archers from Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and South Africa descended on Heja Lodge from 28 April to 1 May 2017 to battle for the title of African Champion. A total of 33 Namibian archers participated in this event and 4 were awarded Namibian Colors by the Sports commission after passing the stringent AAN qualifying scoring system.

Namibia won a total of 14 medals: 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze. Three Namibian archers also set new African and Namibian records in their various classes: Quinn Reddig, CF Brandt and AJ Groenewald will have their names added to these records. The archers shot distances between 11-80 yards in a challenging course that was built by Vice President of Field Archery BeantaViviers and her dedicated team.

After the competition concluded on Monday, the feedback received from all participants was that the event was well organized and it was a pleasure shooting in Namibia.
